Device Compatibility & Usage
Can I use different types of devices in the cases or carts?
Yes. Our solutions are compatible with any device regardless of the operating system. The main considerations are the device’s size and power requirements.
Is it possible to charge devices while they are inside their protective cases?
Absolutely. Using a protective case does not interfere with the charging process.
Can I stack devices on top of each other inside the cart?
No. Due to the weight and design of our TransformerCarts, we strongly advise against stacking carts or placing devices on top of one another.
Security & Locking
Can I lock the cart or case?
TransformerCases come with a slot allowing you to use any standard padlock for security. TransformerCarts feature integrated locking systems, and spare keys are provided with each unit.
Can multiple TransformerCases or TransformerCarts be secured together?
Our products don’t include integrated multi-unit locking systems. For enhanced security, we recommend securing cases or carts to fixed points (like wall-mounted metal bars), similar to supermarket shopping carts.
Ordering & Customization
Can I order directly from Formcase as an end user?

Certainly! Simply send us the measurements of your new devices. We will create a 3D foam design for your approval and provide a quote.
How much does a new foam cost, and is it easy to replace?
Foam costs vary based on case size and shipping. Replacement is simple - just slide out the old foam and slide in the new one.
Charging & Technology
Can I see the charging percentage of devices while charging?
Our Smarthub charging solutions include LED indicators showing charge status. The exact battery percentage is displayed on the device itself.

What does the sync function do?
Syncing is available for iOS devices only. By connecting your primary device to the TransformerCase Smarthub and using Apple Configurator, you can quickly distribute software, updates, and files across multiple devices—efficiently and securely.
If we use an MDM system, do we still need the sync function?
MDM relies on internet connectivity and bandwidth. Our hardware sync works independently of the network, providing faster and more reliable updates.
What is PD Power Delivery?
PD (Power Delivery) ensures each device receives the exact power it requires to charge efficiently. We offer three smart hub options:
- 10, 16, or 20 ports with 12W output
- 16 ports with 25W output
- 16 ports with 65W output
Do you supply charging cables?
MFI-certified Lightning cables are sold separately. TransformerCart models T32 and T36 include USB-C to USB-C cables.

How many devices fit inside?
How many sizes are available?
We offer over 50 case sizes but generally recommend four standard sizes: XS, S, M, and L. Our carts come in sizes to accommodate 30, 32, 36, or 48 devices.
Are the cases only for tablets/iPads/laptops, or can other devices be used?
Our cases fit any device. Depending on your requirements, we can provide standard or fully customized solutions. Clients range from telecom companies to VR manufacturers and airlines.

Are the charging trolleys made in Germany?
Yes. Since 2015, all TransformerCases have been manufactured in Nattheim, Germany. TransformerCarts and Accessories were designed in Germany and manufactured by our engineering requirements in Asisa
